In 2009 Shi joined forces with Kyrre Heldal Karlsen and relocated to Oslo where they are now both based. Kyrre Heldal Karlsen teaches and creates lights, scenography and video for theatre and dance performances, arts installations, concerts and festivals. He has worked with dance companies such as the Gothenburg Ballet, Carte Blanche and Zero Visibility Corp to name a few. His work has been shown in theaters, concert halls, museums and arts spaces in Norway and all around the world. He is currently exploring methods of controlling lights with reactive video software to give his spaces an ever more emotional quality.

Together, Shi and Kyrre create personal and accomplished pieces that use the architecture of the performance space and the physical and emotional construction of movement to give clear images of inter-human relations.

They cooperate closely, whilst retaining their unique individual signatures.
